Throughout the pandemic, the Canadian Franchise Association (CFA) has gone the extra mile to lobby all governments on behalf of CFA members. We have made sure that franchised businesses were included in rent and wage subsidies, updated the Canadian Small Business Finance Program which will now include franchise fees, and helped you stay on top of the many laws, regulations, and emerging issues that affect your business.

We need your help to continue fighting strong on your behalf.

There are many issues facing the franchised business community, such as future updates to franchise disclosure legislation, the implementation of environmental and waste diversion policies and programs, pandemic recovery initiatives from the federal and provincial governments. We are always fighting to protect against common employer which hits at the heart of the franchised business model.

1. The Canadian Franchise Association (CFA) is seeking member volunteers to serve on Education and Event Committees for 2021 and 2022. Events include a Virtual Seminar in October 2021 and 2022 CFA National Convention.
   Responsibilities Include:
   • Providing leadership, guidance, and support to the CFA staff in the program planning, development, and execution of such events.
   • Ensuring a successful, quality educational event that contributes to CFA’s strategic imperative “To be the best resource of for information and education on franchising”.

   Committee participation is limited to a maximum of one (1) representative from any CFA member company.
