CARSTAR has announced the promotion of Collin Welsh to Director of Franchise Development for Canada
Opening new stores, leading mergers and acquisitions as well as finding new quality franchise candidates will be Welsh’s complete focus with this new position. Existing CARSTAR franchise partners can look to Collin for guidance on expanding their footprint in their region. Additionally, existing owners of collision repair facilities outside of the network can rely on Welsh for information on joining the CARSTAR family.
“Working with potential candidates is one of my favourite aspects of this position, because I get to be their first introduction to the CARSTAR brand, and show them what it is like to be a franchise partner within our network,” said Welsh. “Having been in the industry in various capacities for so long, I know that CARSTAR has a unique offering, as a provider of premier collision repairs, and it makes this job a lot easier knowing we have such a sterling reputation behind us.”
Welsh has been tied to the automotive industry for his entire professional life. Working in various positions from technician to management in the auto service, OEM and rental industries, Welsh eventually found his way to CARSTAR more than six years ago. Primarily based in Eastern and Northern Ontario, Welsh spent years cultivating relationships with CARSTAR franchise partners, and worked with them strategically to grow and become multi-store owners.
