Bakery franchise COBS Bread has recently launched its new loyalty app and program, COBS Club. With a careful and calculated phased rollout leading to an official network wide launch at the end of July, the app already has over 75,000 users across COBS Bread’s 135 bakeries across Canada (in BC, AB, SK, MC, ON and NS) and two in CT, USA.
COBS Club is replacing the stamp-card based Loaf Rewards program, where customers earned a complimentary loaf after the purchase of 14 loaves. The new program allows members to earn Breadcrumbs on all purchases- not just loaves.
Program highlights include:
- A free treat – not just on your birthday – but also on your HALF birthday
- Each purchase before tax is awarded two Breadcrumbs per dollar spent
- Additional bonus Breadcrumbs for achieving new member “milestones”
- A $5 reward which can be applied to any purchase after earning 200 Breadcrumbs.
COBS Bread’s ‘Double Up’ campaign launches on August 26, which will reward COBS Club customers with twice the amount of Breadcrumbs on each in-bakery purchase throughout the entire month of September. The campaign will run until September 30th, with goals of increasing program/app downloads and encouraging adoption of the new program throughout the campaign.
