Freshii has launched a lineup of bowls that are made to measure for Canadians looking to change the way they eat. Presented as Lifestyle Bowls, these nutrition-packed items offer less carbs and fats, but more protein. Created by health and fitness experts for health and fitness advocates who want protein-rich, balanced, and functional meals, the lineup includes Macro Balanced Bowl, Harmony Bowl and Protein Power Bowl.
“Protein has become a key part of how many people think about their nutrition,” says Chef Jason Baker, Director of Culinary for Freshii. “Freshii’s new bowls were created to help guests make purposeful choices. Each bowl has a balanced mix of proteins, vegetables, whole grains, and flavours to support strength, energy, and daily wellness.”
More Canadians are rethinking their nutrition and making protein a bigger part of their daily meals. This shift comes from changing eating habits and the growing use of GLP-1 medications and weight loss drugs, which affect appetite and lead to smaller, more nutrient-dense meals. A recent Dalhousie University survey found that about 2 million Canadians now use GLP-1 medications.
The Macro Balanced Bowl is a nutrient-dense dish designed for overall wellness, featuring roasted chicken, brown rice, edamame, grape tomatoes, baby spinach, avocado, and green goddess ranch dressing. Estimated macros for the Macro Balanced Bowl are 540 calories, 40 grams of protein, 64 grams of carbohydrates, and 18 grams of fat. This is the most universally approachable bowl, offering strong protein support with balanced carbs for sustained performance and is ideal for weight maintenance and steady all-day energy.
The Harmony Bowl is a medium-carbohydrate, low-fat, medium-protein option featuring roasted chicken, sweet potatoes, kale, crisp apples, toasted almonds, feta, and brown rice with a balsamic vinaigrette. Estimated macros for the Harmony Bowl are 760 calories, 39 grams of protein, 72 grams of carbohydrates, and 39 grams of fat. The Harmony Bowl provides long-lasting energy for higher-calorie needs, bulking, or more intense training days. The higher fat content supports hormonal health and keeps guests full longer, making it ideal for active lifestyles or people who prefer fewer meals per day.
The Protein Power Bowl is a high-protein, low-carb bowl with double-roasted chicken over brown rice, roasted broccoli, baby greens, grape tomatoes, and green goddess dressing with hot sauce. Estimated macros for the Protein Power Bowl are 580 calories, 56 grams of protein, 51 grams of carbohydrates, and 21 grams of fat. The Protein Power bowl is ideal for muscle building, fat loss with high satiety and post-workout recovery. With the highest protein and moderate carbs, this bowl is ideal for guests focused on strength, body recomposition, or anyone wanting a lean macro profile.
“Our goal is to give guests balanced, satisfying options with quality proteins to help them on their path to better health,” says Chris Cann, Brand Leader for Freshii. “Protein is important for many of our guests, whether they are active, managing appetite changes, or just want satisfying and nutritious meals. At the end of the day, it’s all about choice, quality and taste.”
The lifestyle bowls will be available for a limited time at participating Freshii locations across Canada. For more information about Freshii lifestyle bowls and to see the full menu, visit freshii.com.
