Handheld offerings arrive, designed for colder weather and available for a limited time
Freshii launched three new handheld pockets today, offering guests a warm and satisfying option for colder months. The new items will be available at participating stores for a limited time and can be paired with Freshii’s soups or added to accompany a bowl to create a complete meal. Prices of the pockets start at $8.99.
The new lineup includes Chipotle Steak, Chicken Pesto Cranberry and Spicy BBQ Chicken. Each pocket features familiar ingredients wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla and prepared hot.
“The pockets give our guests more choice at a time of year when people look for warm and hearty meals,” says Chris Cann, Brand Leader for Freshii. “They pair well with our soups or can accompany a bowl, which gives customers the flexibility to build a meal that suits their day.”
The Chipotle Steak pocket features smoky roasted chicken with crisp bacon, aged cheddar, BBQ sauce, fresh cilantro and tangy pickled red onions. The Chicken Pesto Cranberry pocket combines roasted chicken with basil pesto, dried cranberries and melted aged cheddar. The Spicy BBQ Chicken pocket includes tender roasted steak with sautéed mushrooms, sharp cheddar, crispy fried onions, fresh green onions and a creamy chipotle sauce.
“We developed Freshii pockets to bring seasonal comfort to the menu,” says Chef Jason Baker, Director of Culinary Innovation at Foodtastic. “Our goal was to create warm, flavourful combinations that work well on their own and even better as part of a meal during the winter months.”
