17 years ago, Dawn Mucci was a single mom dealing with head lice. While she could address her son’s head lice situation, she realized there was lack of support for herself. She decided she was going to do something about it so other parents didn’t have to feel as helpless as she did.
What started out as a mobile service quickly expanded into one of the top head lice franchises in Canada.
LiceSquad.com’s original head office and clinic location was located in Cookstown, ON but with the recent growth of the company, Dawn realized she needed a bigger space in a more urban environment.
With a population of over 140,000, close proximity to everything north and south, and business support systems in place including an amazing Chamber of Commerce and Mayor who is all about fostering growth and economical development, Barrie, Ontario became the city of choice for the expansion.
June 27, 2018 marked the Grand Opening Celebration of LiceSquad.com’s Head Office and Clinic. Even though rain clouds hovered above, the sun shone brightly on Dawn Mucci and her Super Hero Team.

While the Fresh Radio Fun Team played music to get the people moving and grooving, Topper’s Pizza and Pizza Pizza fed the masses with their delicious assortments of pizza pie.
The ribbon cutting ceremony wasn’t shy of familiar faces as Mayor Jeff Lehman, MP John Brassard, MPP Andrea Khanjin, Barrie Chamber of Commerce President Patricia Dent and Executive Director Richard Brooks came out to show their support.
The new location for LiceSquad.com’s Head Office and Clinic is 106 Saunders Road Unit#12. It offers a full service child-friendly clinic with a private room for those who require more discretion during their head lice screening and removal process.
The LS Clinic is open by appointment Monday – Friday from 11am – 7pm and Saturdays from 10am – 2pm. Sundays are available through mobile service only. Products are available at the clinic and online with no appointment necessary to purchase. Dawn and her team are always looking for new ways to provide a better customer experience.
