Misha and Zoey, age five, are the ambassadors for this year’s Pita Pit Make-A-Wish campaign. The sisters, both diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder, received wishes through Make-A-Wish Canada. The fundraising campaign runs from May 25 to June 21 at participating Pita Pit locations, with a national fundraising day on June 10.

Pita Pit campaign returns to help grant wishes for children through Make-A-Wish Canada

From May 25 to June 21, and for a ninth consecutive year, participating Pita Pit locations across Canada will help raise funds to grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses

Pita Pit has launched its ninth annual national fundraising campaign in support of Make-A-Wish Canada. The initiative encourages customers nationwide to help grant wishes for children living with critical illnesses. Between May 25 and June 21, customers at participating Pita Pit locations can add a $1, $2, or $5 donation to their purchase. On Wednesday, June 10, participating locations will contribute $1 from every pita, bowl, and salad sold to Make-A-Wish Canada as part of a national fundraising day.

The campaign continues Pita Pit’s long-standing support for Make-A-Wish Canada. Since 2017, Pita Pit has raised more than $249,000 to help grant wishes for children with critical illnesses. In 2025, the campaign generated $20,000. This year, Pita Pit is working to exceed that total through customer donations, franchisee involvement, and national campaign efforts.

“Pita Pit’s partnership with Make-A-Wish Canada continues to be an important way for our restaurants, franchisees, team members and guests to come together for a meaningful cause,” said Otman Haouzi, Brand Leader at Pita Pit. “Every donation, and every pita, bowl or salad sold on June 10 at participating locations helps support children and families across Canada. We are proud to continue this campaign and hope to build on last year’s success.”

Funds raised through the campaign will support Make-A-Wish Canada’s mission to create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. According to Make-A-Wish Canada, more than 3,500 children in Canada are still waiting for their wishes to be granted, and the need for support continues to grow.

This year’s campaign features ambassadors Misha and Zoey, five-year-old twin sisters diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder shortly after birth. Through Make-A-Wish Canada, Zoey’s wish was a holiday that included her first flight and a private meeting with her favourite Sesame Street character. Misha’s wish was a custom backyard bunkie, now a dedicated space for her, Zoey, and their younger brother, Arjun.

“We are grateful to Pita Pit, its franchisees and its guests for their continued support of Make-A-Wish Canada,” said Shauna Reay-Laidler, Manager, Corporate Partnerships, Make-A-Wish Canada. “A wish can have a powerful impact on a child’s medical journey, bringing hope, strength and joy at a time when it is needed most. Campaigns like this help make those wishes possible for children and families across the country.”
