This week on Franchise Canada Chats Renée Boudakian in joined by Salima Mussaji, a Spirit of Math franchisee with locations in Mississauga and Oakville, Ontario.
Salima studied math and business at the University of Waterloo, and after some time working in the business world, found her passion and ideal work/life balance in teaching at a local college. But both Salima and her husband had a desire to be business owners … to create a legacy they could pass on to their kids. They found that legacy in the Spirit of Math franchise system, where they could combine her husband’s 18 years of entrepreneurial experience with Salima’s teaching background.
In the last 20 years, they’ve opened locations in Mississauga and Oakville, and provided valuable supplemental education to the children in these communities. Tune in to this week’s episode to hear more about Salima’s journey: the opportunities that franchising has provided her and her family, the work that has gone into growing a successful business, the impact that Spirit of Math has had on its students, and more.

On this episode we’ll discuss:
- Introducing a brand to a new area
- Intensive training and onboarding, and its benefits
- The impact that supplemental education has on its students
