Now in its second year, the definitive ranking of Canada’s top franchise systems returns
Elite Franchise has officially unveiled the 2026 Elite Franchise Top 100 Canada (EF100), the second annual ranking recognizing Canada’s top-performing franchise systems.
Building on the strong momentum of its inaugural year, the EF100 has quickly established itself as a trusted benchmark for excellence in Canadian franchising. The annual ranking recognizes brands that are not only performing at a high level today but are actively shaping the future of the sector through innovation, resilience, franchisee support, and long-term growth.
Each year, the EF100 highlights the franchisors shaping the future of the sector; those that have demonstrated not only commercial strength, but leadership, adaptability, and a commitment to building sustainable franchise networks in an increasingly competitive and complex business environment.
Canada’s Top Franchise for 2026
For 2026, Pizza Pizza has been named the number one franchise system in the country, earning the top position in this year’s EF100 ranking. Standing out among hundreds of franchise brands spanning multiple industries, Pizza Pizza distinguished itself through exceptional performance across the EF100’s core evaluation criteria, including franchisee support, innovation, community engagement, longevity, and future potential.
“Being named Canada’s #1 Franchise two years in a row is a tremendous achievement, and one that we do not take lightly,” said Paul Goddard, CEO, Pizza Pizza Limited. “I am incredibly proud of the team behind this result and grateful to be a part of a company that continues to raise the bar for itself.”
Judging Excellence Across the Franchise Sector
Compiled with insight from a panel of respected industry judges and partners, the EF100 ranking is the result of a rigorous, independent assessment process designed to reflect what truly matters in franchising today. Brands are evaluated not only on past performance, but on their ability to evolve, support franchisees, and build systems positioned for long-term success.
