The Government of Ontario has now enacted seven separate pieces of legislation aimed at addressing issues in the modern workplace. Beginning in 2021 and the seventh most recently enacted near the end of 2025. In this webinar we will review the most important amendments and assist attendees in creating priority next steps to ensure compliance.
We will review amendments to the:
- Employment Standards Act: new policy requirements, job posting rules, new leaves and increased temporary layoff agreements.
- Occupational Health and Safety Act: new PPE requirements, expanded authority of the CPO, electronic posting, increased fines and expanded limitation periods.
Workplace Safety and Insurance Act: new offences, increased maximum penalties and the new use of administrative penalties.
