Participation in the CFA Awards Program is free and exclusive to CFA members in good standing at the time of both nomination and award presentation. (Brands wishing to participate must have been CFA members for one year or longer at time of nomination.)

Awards Presentation: Recipients will be celebrated during two signature events at the 2027 CFA National Convention.
Privacy Notice: All nominee information is kept strictly confidential and will not be shared with anyone, including nominees. The information collected will only be used for administering the CFA Awards Program.

CFA Awards of Excellence
Considered the pinnacle of franchise achievement in Canada, the CFA Awards of Excellence in Franchising are given annually to franchise systems that have demonstrated superior franchise relations, leadership, training, and communications.
To reflect the wide range of franchise opportunities in Canada and to enable franchise systems to be rated against their peers in their class, the Awards of Excellence include seven categories. Winners are determined from the franchisee’s assessments and a weighting is given for a higher response rate.

Using the CFA Awards Program Survey, the Franchisees’ Choice Designation honours franchise systems with exceptional rankings in franchisee satisfaction.
Franchisee of the Year
This award shines a spotlight on Canada’s superstar franchisees. This award is presented to a top franchise partner in both a traditional and non-traditional franchise.
