Canada’s inflation performance looks even better when you compare it with other countries. Inflation rose everywhere coming out of the pandemic, and spiked higher after Russia invaded Ukraine. But inflation here peaked lower (8.1 per cent) and sooner (June, 2022) than in all but a handful of OECD countries, and has likewise fallen further than all but a handful.
