WSIB to raise benefits, maintain employers’ premiums: Labour minister

The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board will increase benefits payments to injured workers by more than 6% next year, while holding the line on premiums paid by businesses, says Ontario Labour Minister Monte McNaughton.
The WSIB will announce a suite of new services to modernize its interactions with businesses and workers. “My goal is to ensure that we have a WSIB system that takes care of workers and keeps costs down for businesses,” McNaughton told The Toronto Sun Wednesday.
