Boston Pizza Scores New Partnership With Hockey Night in Canada

Canada’s largest casual dining restaurant chain is pleased to announce an exciting new partnership with Hockey Night in Canada, a national institution that Canadians have gathered around their televisions to watch every Saturday night for well over a half century.

Starting this Saturday, October 5th, Boston Pizza’s more than 390 locations across the country will offer
Canadian hockey fans an incredible Hockey Night in Canada atmosphere to cheer on their home teams with fun games for guests of all ages, special contests and big prizes, including a behind-the-scenes trip to the Hockey Night in Canada studios.

“Boston Pizza has always been the place for Canadians to ‘Gather Round’ in their communities and no tradition has brought Canadians together better than Hockey Night in Canada,” says James Kawalecki, Senior Director of Marketing, Boston Pizza International. “We see a lot of synergy between our two brands and look forward to creating the best Hockey Night in Canada experience for our guests.”

As part of the new three-year sponsorship deal, Boston Pizza restaurants will be fully-outfitted with Hockey Night in Canada branding, including all take-out-and-delivery containers. BP managers and servers will also join in the fun on Saturday nights, sporting iconic Hockey Night in Canada baby blue blazers and hockey jerseys.

The brand will enjoy a regular presence on the network’s popular, multi-platform programs on Thursdays, including a custom hockey feature on Tim and Sid and a presenting sponsorship of Hockey Central on Thursdays throughout the regular season.

“Canadians have been gathering at Boston Pizza to watch Hockey Night in Canada for over a half-century, so we’re excited to formalize our partnership for the next three seasons,” said Anthony Attard, Vice President, Sports and NHL Sales at Sportsnet. “With BP on board as a new partner of Hockey Night in Canada, hockey fans across the country will have a great place to get together with family and friends to watch the games, including 20 all-Canadian matchups on Saturday night this season.”
