Chatime Canada elevates its National Bubble Tea Month campaign with exciting promotions and the ultimate guide to bubble tea

Chatime, Canada’s first and largest bubble tea franchise, is making waves once again with its highly anticipated National Bubble Tea Month campaign, a celebration dedicated to all things bubble tea.

What started as a one-week event in 2020 and 2021 has since evolved into a month-long campaign, featuring new flavours and exciting surprises for bubble tea lovers. This year, Chatime is taking it even further by offering exclusive promotions and a beginner’s guide to Bubble Tea, making it easier than ever for newcomers to discover their perfect drink.

“Every year, we strive to make National Bubble Tea Month bigger and better than the last,” says Kenton Chan, founder and group CEO of Kevito Group, Chatime’s parent company. “While we love welcoming back our loyal customers, this celebration is also about reaching new audiences, people who may not be as familiar with bubble tea and its benefits. Bubble tea is more than just a drink; it’s a fun, customizable, and social experience and we want to make it accessible to everyone.”

Bubble Tea, originated in Taiwan in the 1980s. It combines brewed tea with chewy tapioca pearls (or other toppings) and often comes with sweetened milk or fruit flavouring. For those who have yet to experience its unique flavours and textures, the world of bubble tea might seem a bit overwhelming.

Here are some of Chatime’s key tips to help you master bubble tea and ensure an enjoyable first experience in no time:

Start with a Base: Typically, the foundation of bubble tea is tea-based, with popular choices like black tea, green tea, or oolong tea. From there, you can choose whether you’d like it with milk.

Adjust the Sweetness: One of the benefits of bubble tea is its customizability to your acquired taste. Often, you’re given the option to adjust the sweetness level ranging from “unsweetened” to “extra sweet” and anything in between. If you’re unsure of your preference, start with a medium level of sweetness and adjust accordingly.

Pick your topping: The chewy tapioca pearls are what give bubble tea its signature texture. They are the most traditional topping however, there are plenty of other fun options like brown sugar pearls, sea salt crema, coconut jelly, crystal boba, passionfruit and popping boba or opt to keep it plain and simple.

Hot or Cold? While cold bubble tea is the most popular, some drinks, like Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea, taste great served warm. Hot bubble tea can be especially comforting during cooler weather, as it pairs wonderfully with classic milk teas. Alternatively opt for extra cold, or even slushed for a chilled experience.
