September is Franchisee Appreciation Month!
Canada is home to more than one million small businesses, a large portion of which are franchisees—in fact, by the end of 2023 an estimated 657, 000 franchises will be operating small businesses in Canada.
Each franchisee plays their own pivotal role in propelling the Canadian economy forward. Apart from employing almost 2 million Canadians, creating thousands of new jobs this year, and contributing $120 billion in income to the economy, franchisees are also largely involved in their communities, giving back locally through a range of initiatives and charities.
Each franchisee has their own story of trial, tribulation, and ultimately, success as a small business. This month, we want to recognize these stories, which is why September is now officially Franchisee Appreciation Month here at the Canadian Franchising Association!
That’s right—as a thank you for everything franchisees do for their communities, we’re launching a national campaign to celebrate their contribution and hard work. Why? Because franchising is a small business and franchisees are local small business owners!
Let’s Celebrate Franchisees and Support Local businesses!
Throughout the entire month of September for Franchisees Appreciation Month, we’re going to share their stories so that you can support your local franchisees in their businesses! Please check back here weekly to read their stories.
