DoughBox is turning up the heat this spring on its expansion plans. With already two new locations opened since the start of 2024, the Ontario-based company confirms it is finalizing plans to open eight new locations over the course of the next months, with Woodbridge and Brantford at the top of the list. The brand’s 12 existing locations are bringing back their Pizza of the Season and kicking things off with the Jalapeño Popper Pizza on Cinco de Mayo, along with Garlic Parm Doughbites, a spin off on their famous Doughbites, which launched in February.
“Fresh, homemade dough pieces, baked to perfection, topped with icing sugar and served with a side of warm Nutella—how much more love can you give?” asks Tony Visca, co-founder of DoughBox. “Our guests deserve the best, and that’s what they get, whether it’s for pasta, pizza or delicious desserts. The more we invest in innovation, the more we’re motivated to expand.”
The new Jalapeño Popper Pizza has been carefully crafted to meet trends in flavour preferences, specifically a heightened demand for savoury and spicy. Made with an herb and garlic cream cheese base topped with pickled jalapeños, fresh mozzarella, grated parmesan cheese, fresh bacon and crispy fried onions, it aims to deliver the perfect crunch with every savoury bite. The new items are available at all DoughBox locations from May 5 until mid-July.
In 2024, DoughBox locations opened in St. Thomas and Newmarket. New locations are under development in Woodbridge, Brantford, Etobicoke, Kingston, Kitchener, St. Catharines, and Stoney Creek.
“We are happy with the growth we have seen thus far, and we’ve only just begun,” says Visca. “We are happy with the pace and success so far and look forward to growing with our existing franchisees.”
