There’s an abundance of fresh and juicy Canadian peaches at markets across Canada—and now at your local Doughbox fast-casual restaurant location. The growing wood-fired restaurant chain launches today its first Peach Pizza, a limited time offer that features locally grown and sourced fresh peaches that are carefully fire-roasted and placed on a base of fresh Alfredo and pesto sauces, amplified with a new La Bomba sauce for a hint of spice, and topped with a combination of mozzarella and goat cheeses, roasted sweet peppers and arugula. The pizza and peaches – eight wedges to be precise—is then drizzled with a balsamic glaze.
“I’ve courted this pizza for a while now and words just fall short when it comes to describing its taste and texture,” said Tony Visca, CEO and co-founder of Doughbox. “You’ve just got to try it to understand.”
Company founders Tony Visca and Fern Colavecchia first started exploring peach recipes at their Johnny Rocco’s Italian Grill locations a few years ago. Based on its success, the impresarios decided to bring it to their Doughbox customers.
Like all of its pizzas, the Peach Pizza comes in 12” pizzas (8 slices) and is available at all Doughbox locations for $18.99.
