World’s largest supplier of small-quantity metals expands beyond 125 stores while momentum continues
Metal Supermarkets, the world’s largest supplier of small-quantity metals, is celebrating major achievements for the first half of 2024 including record network revenues, new store openings, and franchise anniversary celebrations with even more success anticipated for 2024’s second half.
“Our network has achieved great success so far in 2024 with even more great accomplishments on the horizon for the next six months,” said Stephen Schober, president and CEO of Metal Supermarkets. “We anticipate closing out the year with more strong sales results, another eight anticipated new store openings, the awarding of our 3rd annual Trade School Scholarships, plus our annual Metal My Way contest.”
In comparison to the first six months of 2023, Metal Supermarkets network achieved a 5.4 per cent sales increase, paving the way for another record sales year despite lowering metal prices.
In the first half of 2024, Metal Supermarkets expanded its North American store footprint with six new locations across the United States and Canada including: Baton Rouge, LA; Cambridge, ON; Moon Township, PA; O’Fallon, IL; Ventura County, CA; and York, PA.. Showcasing continued 2024 momentum, Metal Supermarkets has signed seven new franchise agreements with eight new store developments in the pipeline.
Additionally, Metal Supermarkets franchisees have celebrated major anniversaries including
Niles, IL (10 Years), Woburn, MA (10 Years), London, ON (10 Years), Richmond, BC (10 years), Everett, WA (10 years) and Calgary, AB (30 years).
This continued success of the franchise network has earned Metal Supermarkets the attention of Entrepreneur Magazine, which recognized the proven business system as a Top-15 retail franchise according to the 2024 Franchise 500 Rankings. Metal Supermarkets holds the 203rd place ranking in the 2024 list up from last year’s 326th place—marking the ninth year in a row to earn ranking recognition—and springs into 12th place when looking exclusively at retail franchise systems.
