Pizza Nova signs on as presenting sponsor of Vaughan’s first ever Festa d’Italia

City of Vaughan marks Italian Heritage Month with an inaugural local festival

Pizza Nova has signed an agreement to become the presenting sponsor of the City of Vaughan’s first ever Festa d’Italia, a vibrant celebration of Italian culture, cuisine, and community. The event will take place on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Boyd Conservation Park (8739 Islington Ave.), marking a significant milestone for the City’s annual Italian Heritage Month festivities.

Festa d’Italia aims to honour the rich Italian heritage that has significantly contributed to the city’s cultural tapestry. Active throughout Vaughan with 10 locations, Pizza Nova shares in the vision of the event – celebrating and preserving Italian traditions that can be enjoyed by all members of the communities it serves.

“We are honoured to support the City of Vaughan’s inaugural Festa d’Italia,” said Domenic Primucci, President of Pizza Nova. “Our roots are deeply embedded in Italian culture, and this festival provides a wonderful opportunity to share and celebrate our heritage with the local community at large.”

Attendees can enjoy a fun-filled day with authentic Italian food, live entertainment, cultural exhibits, and family-friendly activities. Pizza Nova will be on-site, offering a selection of its renowned pizza, allowing guests to experience the flavours that have made it a household name across Southern Ontario. Emceed by Tony Monaco of Z103.5 and Giuseppe the MC, the celebration will feature headline performances by I Cugini di Campagna.

“Vaughan is home to one of the largest Italian Canadian populations in the country and they have played a vital role in enriching our cultural diversity and our efforts to build a world-class city for everyone,” said Mayor Steven Del Duca from the City of Vaughan. “To recognize their incredible contributions, I am excited to invite everyone to take part in a truly special occasion – the City of Vaughan’s first ever Festa d’Italia on Sunday, June 1. It promises to be a fun day filled with culinary delights, music, art and traditions that reflect the beauty and vitality of Italian heritage. It is a chance to come together as a community, celebrate our shared values and learn from the many great traditions that have been passed down for generations. I want to thank our amazing presenting sponsor, Pizza Nova, for their support and generosity in bringing this event to life. I look forward to welcoming you and your family to the first ever Festa d’Italia!”

This sponsorship aligns with Pizza Nova’s ongoing efforts to engage with and give back to the communities it serves, reflecting its core values of family, tradition, and community spirit and honouring its Italian roots.
