Tahini’s, a leading Middle Eastern quick service restaurant (QSR) and one of the fastest growing QSR franchise concepts, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kaan Sayiner as chief commercial officer (CCO).
As CCO, Sayiner is charged with driving commercial and brand growth. He will lead the company’s marketing, brand, guest experience, insights, and analytics, and sales, and oversee the company’s strategic planning. As a key member of the executive leadership team, he will also lead go-to-market organizational integration to maximize its growth potential.
“On behalf of our board of directors and our 43 locations and counting, I am very pleased to welcome Kaan to the Tahini’s family. As our company’s new chief commercial officer, he will bring a fresh perspective, new ideas, and expert knowledge to help drive our sales to new levels of success,” said Omar Hamam, founder and CEO at Tahini’s Restaurants. “His diverse experience is the perfect complement to our team’s existing expertise and capabilities. Together, we are more strongly positioned than ever before to build upon our significant momentum in the market.”
With nearly three decades of marketing and operations experience including 25 years of senior and executive leadership roles across diverse industries, Kaan has a proven track record in leading aggressive, profitable growth. His accomplishments and expertise in aligning operations, marketing, and sales with strategic objectives, and an impressive track record in delivering on change initiatives and creating results-oriented, high-performing teams, have been recognized with awards including a Forty under 40, Marketer of the Year, and Canada’s Top 10 Marketers. Previously, as board chairman and president at Naan Kabob, he focused on developing the company’s capabilities and oversaw the brand’s impressive growth.
“We look forward to working with Kaan and to his contribution to our expansion plans both across Canada and internationally,” said Hamam.
“I am genuinely thrilled to join Tahini’s. I was attracted to Omar’s vision and the company’s priority for innovation and growth,” Sayiner said. “The entire team’s commitment, and the tremendous work they have accomplished to date, developing a category leading social media presence and opening dozens of stores in short order, both impressed me and stirred excitement at the enormous potential for greater growth still. I look forward to collaborating with all of my new colleagues across the organization to maximize our company’s synergies, market opportunities, and growth potential.”
