Boston Pizza Partners with MyCheck for Pay-at-Table Functionality

Guests can now use the MyBP mobile loyalty app to review their bills, split their bills and pay their bills via smartphone using the MyCheck MyRestaurant mobile payment product

MISSISSAUGA, ON, May 9, 2018 /CNW/ – Boston Pizza, Canada’s largest casual dining restaurant chain, is adding MyRestaurant mobile payment functionality from MyCheck into its MyBP loyalty program app at select locations within the Greater Toronto Area, as part of a pilot. The enhanced pay-at-table experience will enable Guests to check-in with the MyBP app, redeem personalized rewards that are synchronized with each restaurant’s point-of-sale system (POS), review their bill, split a bill, and pay a bill using Apple Pay or traditional credit cards.

“Boston Pizza is always looking for new ways to enhance our Guests’ experience,” said Cavin Green, Vice President, Business Technology, Boston Pizza International. “Adding the MyRestaurant pay-at-table functionality is something we know our Guests are going to love. Through this partnership with MyCheck, we are evolving MyBP from a loyalty app to a multi-feature platform, aimed at creating enhanced experiences. Today, Guests no longer have to wait for a server to bring them the bill. They can control their dining experience from their smartphones. This is the way of the future, and this is yet another way that Boston Pizza is looking to offer remarkable hospitality.”

MyCheck creates custom apps for restaurant groups and chains to extend the brand experience into the mobile world. MyRestaurant enables a seamless pay-at-table experience via direct integration to the Boston Pizza POS. Receipts are automatically emailed to the Guest’s account and kept in the history for easy access at any time. This results in enhanced operations, higher server tips and faster table turnarounds.

“We are thrilled to expand our footprint into the Canadian market with Boston Pizza,” said Cyndi Shepley, MyCheck VP of Sales. “This was a complex project with multiple integrations, but we could see their vision and understand the unique needs of their mobile-dependent customers. We are excited that Boston Pizza is embracing our mobile payment platform and we look forward to bringing our proven mobile payment and digital wallet technology to more restaurants in the Northern hemisphere.”
