British Swim School, North America’s leading “learn to swim” provider, is proud to announce the opening of its newest location in Midtown Toronto at Deer Park Junior and Senior Public School, located at 23 Ferndale Ave. The new pool officially opened its doors on September 9, 2024, providing families in the Midtown Toronto area with year-round access to British Swim School’s signature survival-based swim lessons and the newly launched Barracuda program—a pre-competition swim team.
Priya Vadivel, a first-generation immigrant and owner of British Swim School of Toronto East, is leading this exciting expansion. Since opening her first location in March 2023, Vadivel has remained deeply committed to her community and passionate about water safety. With five other locations, including two others in North York, Vadivel is proud to help families across the Eastern Toronto area by providing essential swimming skills to children and adults.

The new Deer Park location will serve residents from neighborhoods such as St. Clair West Village, Casa Loma, South Hill, Midtown Toronto, Yorkville, and beyond.
British Swim School offers a three-part curriculum teaching children as young as three months and adults of all ages water acclimation, safety, and survival skills, and swim stroke development. The Barracuda program, only available in certain locations, aims to bridge the gap between swim classes and competitive swimming, providing young swimmers with the skills and confidence they need to advance to competitive levels.
