Famoso Neapolitan Pizzeria in Sherwood Park has reopened after a recent restaurant makeover to provide guests with a new refreshed experience while keeping its authentic and delicious menu and more. It reopened its doors officially on September 30th, 2022.
Much loved by the community, this favourite neighbourhood pizzeria at 975 Broadmoor Blvd. has been serving mouth-watering authentic Neapolitan pizzas since it opened in 2011.
“As people are starting to come out more to enjoy in-restaurant dining, we felt that this was a great time to give the restaurant a fresh look and to give our guests a comfortable and fun place to come enjoy pizzas with friends and families,” says Raymond Ho, marketing director of Famoso. “We believe this will enhance what our guests already love about Famoso and about the area.”
Famoso uses highly refined “00” flour to make its dough, which is hand-stretched and tossed to create a soft crust that is naturally low in gluten and easy to digest. This is accompanied by fresh fior-di-latte mozzarella and a rich, caramelized Campania tomato sauce that has low acidity and natural sweetness, and then baked in a 900-degree Fahrenheit dome oven from Italy. Guests can choose from traditional toppings or “New World” flavours.
Along with all-time favourites such as the Margherita, Vesuvio, and Cavoletti pizzas, its award-winning fire-roasted tomato bisque, and prosciutto-wrapped Mozza balls, guests can also expect delicious options including house special pastas and Famoso wings and sandwiches. There is also a selection of local craft beers, wines, cocktails, Italian coffee, and sodas.
At the helm of the Sherwood Park location will be Noopur Singh, who is one of the owners & the main operator at this location. “We are super excited to be part of Famoso. Many people in the neighbourhood have been coming here for a long time, so we are looking forward to making great tasting pizzas and meals for the Sherwood Park community.”
In addition to dine-in services, Famoso also offers takeout and online ordering for direct pick up using its ordering app. It is also available on delivery platforms SKIP, UberEats and DoorDash.
