In this episode, guest host Angela Coté chats with Steve Collette, co-founder and CEO of 3rd Degree Training, and Fiona Styant, director of franchise development at MOLLY MAID Canada. Here, they discuss why innovating during periods of uncertainty and changes—most notably the COVID-19 pandemic—are vital to help a franchise system survive and stay ahead of the competition.
Steve and his wife Pam founded 3rd Degree Training back in 2008, with the desire to introduce a program that would offer a fitness program that could appeal to anyone and everyone. It provides group HIIT classes, personal training, small group training, weight circuits, and more for customers looking to keep fit.
MOLLY MAID has dominated the maid service industry since being founded in 1979, offering consistent, reliable, and affordable cleaning services for customers, as well as an experienced support office team (including Fiona!) to help its franchisees succeed.
Here, Steve and Fiona share:
- How each brand has adapted its business model throughout the years to stay ahead of the competition
- MOLLY MAID’s new Neighbourhood Franchise Model that offers a unique franchise opportunity for entrepreneurs looking to grow
- How both brands introduced innovation into the system, paying special care to those franchisees who might be uncomfortable with change, and much more.
