Pizza Nova, a proudly Ontario-based company, joins thousands of Ontarians and other visitors in returning to the Canadian National Exhibition this August 19 to September 5, after a two-year hiatus. A staunch supporter of the CNE for over 45 years, Pizza Nova returns as a sponsor and, in addition to feeding the throngs of visitors, will offer an interactive pizza-making workshop for children at Kids’ World.
“It’s wonderful to be heading back to The Ex this year,” says Domenic Primucci, president of Pizza Nova. “I don’t know anyone who isn’t excited about enjoying the CNE and all it has to offer. We’re always eager to share our love of food with people – but it’s particularly special this year.”
The Canadian National Exhibition was closed due to pandemic-related restrictions for two years, leaving sponsors and attendees missing the social interaction of the event—and the food, for which it has become well known.
“We love sponsoring the CNE because food is a very important part of the festivities – and of life in general,” adds Primucci. “This year, we’re excited to offer something even more interactive than sharing a nice slice. We are very eager to share our craft of pizza making with the kids.”
The 30-minute pizza-making workshops will be held daily and will include pizza trivia, tips and tricks on kneading dough and the fun presence of Leonardough, Pizza Nova’s beloved mascot. Children will also leave the event with a loot bag and a slice of pizza.
“I’ve been blessed to experience firsthand the enjoyment of making pizza with my grand-parents, parents and now children,” concludes Primucci. “I will never forget these memorable experiences and I’m so happy to share them with others.”
Organizers of the CNE are expecting more than one million visitors this year. That’s a lot of pizza.
