CORNWALL, Ontario – Planet Fitness, the innovative health club franchise known for its Judgement Free Zone® and affordable prices, today announced the opening of a new club in Cornwall, at 960 Brookdale Ave, in the Brookdale Centre. This will be Planet Fitness’ 20th location in Ontario, with over 1400 locations across North America.
The new location will officially open its doors in December. Planet Fitness prides itself on offering extremely affordable memberships and the Judgement Free Zone® where members experience a hassle-free, non-intimidating environment. Each club also features the brand’s iconic “Lunk Alarm” – a purple and yellow siren on the wall used to gently remind people that grunting, dropping weights or judging others is not permitted.

Beginning November 20, Planet Fitness will start accepting memberships on site at a temporary store next to the club. Online memberships are being accepted now at planetfitness.ca. Members can join for just $1 down and then $10 a month. The new Cornwall Planet Fitness location is 20,403 sq. feet and will offer brand new cardio machines, new fully equipped locker rooms with day lockers and showers, 2 massage chairs*, 20 65” flat screen televisions, a 30-minute express circuit, 2 Hydro Massage beds and 2 Hydro Massage loungers, 2 stand up tanning beds and 2 lay down tanning bed and 1 Total Body Enhancement booth. The club will be open and staffed 24 hours, seven days a week.
Membership includes a variety of other benefits, including unlimited small group fitness instruction by a certified trainer through the pe @ pf ® program. In addition, as a member appreciation gesture, Planet Fitness provides free pizza on the first Monday of every month, and free bagels on the second Tuesday of every month, while supplies last.
