Ricky’s and Fatburger Open a New Combined Location in Whitecourt, Alberta

The community of Whitecourt has not only one but two new restaurants opening on December 1, 2023 at 3732 Kepler Street; Ricky’s All Day Grill and Fatburger will open their doors as a dual branded location so that guests can enjoy not only their favourite hearty breakfasts, but also delicious lunches and dinners from two menu options.

From Brekki Bowls to made-to-order Pancakes, to hand-battered Fish and Chips and home-style Turkey dinner, this Ricky’s restaurant offers quality, stick-to-your-ribs type of meals that its customers have come to love since 1960. Its big breakfasts, freshly prepared meals and large portions are beloved over generational groups and continue to bring families together with its traditional charm and great tasting food.

Fatburger, a world famous burger chain that started in Los Angeles, CA, in 1952, will bring its award winning fresh, never frozen premium Alberta beef burgers to the table, alongside its famous milkshakes, wings, chicken tenders, and tasty sides like hand-dredged onion rings, mini donuts and even churros. Renowned for its cooked-to-order big juicy burgers, Fatburger will definitely make an impact on locals and visitors alike.

Both restaurants are run by owners/operators Vijay Kumar and Maitri Patel, who see a natural fit with Ricky’s and Fatburger. “The Whitecourt community and visitors alike will have two great meal options to choose from, including enjoying a hearty breakfast with family, having a great Fatburger for lunch, dinner, or watching the game at Happy Hour,” “With Ricky’s and Fatburger’s focus on family and quality inspired menu, it’s sure to be a hit with everyone, young and old.”

Together, these two brands bring together more tasty options for guests amid a fun, authentic and upbeat atmosphere. Even the kids will have two menu options to choose their favourite kid-sized meals. This location will also have a Fatburger Drive through window to serve guests who are in a hurry for time and convenience.

Raymond Ho, VP of marketing for FDF Brandz, added, “Our goal is to delight the community of Whitecourt with our fresh and satisfying meals, and also provide great hospitality to our guests. We are pleased to add Whitecourt to our growing chain of family style restaurants.”
