Meet Suzanne Howie, CFE!
With a decade of experience in the signage and print industry, Suzanne joined Print Three’s head office team in a support role in late 2019. She rose to the challenge of the role during 2020 and 2021, and has helped guide franchisees, new and old, through recovery. With a focus on development and support, Suzanne has proven herself a wealth of knowledge for the Print Three Network. “We’re stronger together,” says Suzanne. “That’s the beauty of a network like Print Three – we learn from and support each other, sharing knowledge and growing together.
What inspired you to join the CFE program?
After working at the store level in many franchises, my role as Franchise Support for Print Three Franchising Corp was my first experience in a head office role. The CFE program helped me accelerate my learning, closing my knowledge gap quickly and allowing me to provide better support to my centres.
What does having your CFE Designation mean to you?
The CFE program, and the designation you earn upon completion, represent a commitment to franchising. Obtaining my designation was important to me as I’m committed to the continued growth of Print Three, and franchising, in Canada.
What has been the most challenging part of obtaining your designation?
I’m not a great test taker, so the most challenging part was the final exam but there are great study guides available that helped me get prepared. I ended up doing very well on my exam and passed with flying colours!
Do you have any advice for current CFE participants or those looking to get started?
I think everyone in franchising should get it. I’ve made connections through the online and in person training sessions I attended, as well as learned valuable information that, even while I was still working towards my designation, I was putting into practice in my daily work flow. Oh, and get the exam study guide!
