Recent changes to Canada’s Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP) present new opportunities and considerations for Canadian employers, particularly those in industries such as food services, hospitality, and retail that often rely on temporary foreign labor. In this upcoming webinar, we will explore the latest government updates, including revised compliance measures, new pathways for international hires, and stricter requirements for labor market assessments.
We will discuss the implications of these changes on hiring practices, as well as best practices for navigating the TFWP’s enhanced compliance requirements. Additionally, we’ll cover industry exemptions, including healthcare, construction, and agriculture, which remain unaffected by certain aspects of these policy shifts. This session will delve into these exemptions, other critical details, and often-overlooked requirements, along with best practices to help ensure compliance. Participants will gain actionable insights on effective approaches, potential pitfalls to avoid, and how to keep their business operations aligned with these evolving employment standards.
This session is ideal for HR professionals and franchise owners who rely on the TFWP to address labor shortages and maintain their workforce.
