CEBA Loan – Second Request for Extension
The Canadian Franchise Association has sent a 2nd letter to the Minister of Finance, Hon. Chrystia Freeland MP, with another formal request that the deadline for the repayment of Canadian Emergency Business Account (CEBA) loans be extended until December 31, 2025 and urged the Minister to make a decision as soon as possible.

Educating Public Officials
Educating public officials about the economic impact of franchising and the uniqueness of the business model is a main priority for the CFA. Most recently, the CFA hosted Franchise Awareness Day on May 31st at Queen’s Park, Toronto. Representatives from the CFA attended 28 individual meetings with MPP’s, representing well over a third of the government caucus, to advocate for the betterment of the franchise industry.
