Many franchised and non-franchised businesses are having trouble filling jobs at all wage levels.
We ask that government continue to work with small businesses to find creative solutions to the labour market challenge as quickly as possible, and to remove barriers to accessing labour so franchise small businesses can fully serve their customers and continue to drive the economy.

Rising retail sales strengthen case for Bank of Canada rate hike in July
Retail sales climbed 0.5 per cent in May, according to Statistics Canada’s advance estimate released on June 21. In April, retail sales increased 1.1 per cent to $65.9 billion, surpassing the agency’s previous advance estimate of 0.2 per cent — the same figure analysts polled by Reuters expected — and reversing declines in February and March.
